2014-­‐15: VoWifi (IMS Voice over WiFi) on Android L MR1 (Nexus 6 for T-­‐Mobile US): developed portions

of VoWiFi feature (SIM Call Control, configuration), led end to end integration IMS stack (modem and

Android) + WiFi + Data/ePDG, was primary contact for Google and Motorola.

Android L and L MR1: pioneered single RIL code base globally for 5 chipsets, rolled out RIL test suite

integrated with code releases. Single RIL code base generated savings of 10+ man years.

Architected/led development for these features on Android phones: SRLTE, remote SIM (for DoCoMo)

and audit feature

Architected OMA DM solution (VoLTE configuration) for Android L, led prototyping effort for a China

Mobile Network carrier, used Java.

2013: Architected Qualcomm’s IoE (evolved to IoT presently), introduced Common Code Base between

Linux IoE “RIL” and Android RIL, also in preparation for RIL development for Tizen OS by Samsung.

Architected/led development for these features on Android phones: IMS (VoLTE), DSDA, “silent” modem

Established Symbian TSY (LTSY) architecture, engineered 60% of code, coached new developers (grew

from 3 till 9), led most feature development: CS voice/SS/USSD/SMS PP+CB/network registration. 20
